Lt. Governor Folsom urging Pac to Pac Ban

Lieutenant Governor Jim Folsom will speak to the Senate Governmental Affairs committee on Tuesday, urging swift passage of legislation regarding PAC to PAC transfers.  The committee will meet at 1:30 in the F&T Room on the Seventh Floor of the Alabama Statehouse.   Last week, Governor Folsom and Speaker Pro Tem Hinton Mitchem sought to have this legislation sent to Senator Wendell Mitchell’s committee where they feel it will be dealt with in the timeliest manner.

 

Folsom Statement:

 

“I campaigned on this issue across Alabama and the people have made it abundantly clear that they want to see some action taken regarding PAC to PAC transfers.   Passing this legislation is the right thing to do and I will do everything I can to move the process forward.”
